The Fruitful Faith

Soon after I poured out all my worries about the upcoming days, God told me those things above: everything I need to be content has been provided by Him. You know what, He always does things like this to me. Every time my heart cries out for answers, He straightly provides them.

Just like this one.

I have to admit that I feel a bit burdened now about many things. One of them, it is about my life-calling; I am currently trying to re-focus my motivation & desires, because working looks more like a routine now and I was very hard to feel driven by God’s vision while doing that. This is my biggest struggle. For that very reason, I want to ask God to give me great strength, great joy, and great satisfaction that comes from Him, so that those tough days which will always make me go home at night, won’t feel too exhausting, if nothing of the opposites will happen.

He answered my prayer just…on time, while maybe it was too quick, in human’s sight.

I read 2 Peter 1:1-10 and got my eyes stuck on these parts:

  1. I am created and saved to participate in divine nature; that’s why I need God’s divine power. My workplace is a place I should see in the Christian World View–not a mere place, but a place in which God the Ruler also put His authority. I need to be more obedient to Him than to people and do every project I have been given as in I participate in divine nature. What does it mean? I need divine power, certainly. I shouldn’t overlook God’s power and try to live in my own strength to finish those projects; that’s not a true Christian.
  2. My faith in Jesus Christ needs to be a fruitful faith; a living faith, because only a living tree bears fruit, right? Moreover, a living faith is a faith which acts. That’s why we need to make every effort to add to our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. I need to work on these in every aspect of my life–include my life-calling. For if I possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep me from being ineffective and unproductive in my knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ who is (to remind you again) also the Ruler in my workplace. Shortly, those qualities will make me an effective and productive one in knowing that the Lord wants me to be Christ-motivated and Spirit-desired to work.
  3. I should not be lazy. I’d rather have to make every effort to confirm my calling and election. For if I do these things, I will never stumble. Those tough days will never make me stumble. I shout amen for that.

Thank God, You really take care of me. 😦

Help me to do what You want me to do.

I am still confused. I honestly am. 😦
